With the help of artist Andrea Dora Wolfskämpf, the Domaine has been adorned with new more dynamic, expressive and fluid colours and movements
This collaboration marks a shift in our identity. if Le Domaine always has been a place ideal for revitalisation, today, through art, we wish it to also become an inspirational space
For this redesign, the artist’s idea was to create an atmosphere that was both dynamic and gentle at the same time. An inspiring atmosphere to the visitors.
Then, the artist choose two large-format original paintings, one for the entrance to the Domaine and the other for the main foyer. This second one will be replaced by other similarly large format paintings throughout the months. For all the other areas, we decided, together to use high-quality prints of her art.
In our long corridors, we covered the walls with lengthy vertical bands going from floor to ceilings in order to create a rhythm that also include the doors. The art doesn’t form a clear painting but rather a whole ensemble of colours here to tell you a story. Each corridor has its own design and its own colours, which give them individuality and character.
All our double rooms are designed with a colourful accent wall. In order to complement each of these rooms, we selected, with the artist, a few reproductions of her paintings whose colours are echoing said accents walls.
Our restaurant displays a selection of high-quality printed “real” paintings, which invite you to open yourself to savours both with your eyes and your palate. This way, we hope to offer you a fully immersive experience between the taste and colours of the garden, the kitchen and finally the art.
Small format reproduction painting and other souvenirs in the colours of Andrea Dora Wolfskämpf art are available for sale in Le Domaine’s little shop.
This interior makeover is just the beginning, we want art to be an integral part of Le Domaine. We want art to blend with the surrounding beautiful nature. We are 100% convinced that bringing art into Le Domaine will also have a positive impact on all members of our staff, more particularly anyone undergoing reintegration, indeed art offers so many therapeutic opportunities and can help one access such a variety of emotions.
